Design & Collaboration

The design is organized as three distinct yet connected structures: a nearly 3,000 square foot main residence, a detached garage with a rooftop garden, and a studio space positioned above an outdoor kitchen with an elevated entertaining terrace. This arrangement creates a layered living environment that balances privacy, function, and outdoor engagement.

Accessibility was a key consideration throughout, with primary living areas designed to accommodate wheelchair access, ensuring the home remains adaptable to the needs of the family.

Execution & Key Elements

The project required careful coordination between structure, program, and site to successfully integrate multiple buildings into a cohesive composition. Key features include full-height glazing, a modern architectural language, a standing seam roof system, and a fully enclosed pool area.

Lighting was thoughtfully designed to support the client’s art collection, with careful attention given to both natural and artificial illumination throughout the home.

Outcome

The result is a highly considered residence that balances architectural clarity with everyday functionality—designed to support both private living and gathering, while remaining adaptable over time. This home is the winner of SRQ Magazine’s 2026 Platinum Home of the Year
